- Document Description
- The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0175-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sonoma Resource Conservation District. Road-related features requiring secured permits before implementation include 16 road-related sediment source features: 15 stream crossings and 1 location of bank erosion. Treating these locations is estimated to reduce erosion, prevent approximately 2,440 yd³ of sediment from delivering to Mark West Creek watershed, and maintain safe and environmentally sound access to the properties. Proposed erosion control and erosion prevention treatments at features requiring permits include: 1) upgrading treatments at 10 stream crossing culverts, dewatering streams at 2 locations during culvert replacements, installing 2 armored fill crossings using a total of 25 yd³ of rock armor, 1 area of excavation to provide bank stabilization, 2 instream grade control structures using a total of 17 yd³ of rock armor, 10 trash racks to reduce culvert plug potential, 7 critical dips to eliminate diversion potential, and a total of 60 yd³ of rock armor to be placed on fill slopes of upgraded stream crossings; and 2
