Old 44 Drive at Oak Run Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0071-R1)

CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0071-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to teh project Applicant, Shasta County Dept. of Public Works. Project is limited to reconstruction of an existing bridge on Old 44 Drive, over Oak Run Creek. The current bridge is a 82.6-foot long and 20 foot wide reinforced concrete deck/steel girder bridge and is structurally deficient, and will be replaced with a new single-span 85-foot long and 32.33 foot wide reinforced concrete box girder bridge on the same alignment. Replacement of the bridge is needed to improve public safety. Additionally, an existing 60-intermittent stream. Temporary instream work platforms are required during construction of the new bridge and removal of the old bridge. To maintain fish passage and downstream habitat conditions, culverts will be placed on the channel bottom through the length of the project footprint, to convey water through the work area. construction activities are expected to be completed with one work season, with instream and any percussive work nto beginning until the stream is no longer flowing, preferably dry, or when the average maximum water temperature is in excess of 25 degrees Celsius to avoid presence and take of salmonids.
