Document Description
A CUP to allow to retention of: a) salvage yard; b) construction or demolition waste material collection, recovery, or recycling; c) tire recycling; and d) rock, gravel, sand, concrete, aggregate, or soils crushing, processing, or distribution in a M-2 PD (Medium Industrial - Precise Development Combining) District pursuant to Sections 19.387.030.D.2, 19.38.030.D.3, and 19.38.030.G of the Kern County Zoning Ordinance. Currently the project site is undeveloped but does contain stockpiles of concrete that are to be crushed into aggregate. Proposed future development of the site is identified below. The project site consists of a 13.43 acre portion of an 18.17 acre parcel. The site is zoned M-2 PD and designated SI (Service Industrial) by the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Plan. The surrounding area is characterized as a mix of undeveloped land and industrial offices, warehouses, and storage yards.
