Document Description
The project is the implementation of a Removal Action Workplan for excavation and offsite disposal of the impacted soil at the Las Terrazas Project (Site). Excavate approx. 475.6 cy of impacted soil from multiple identified locations. Conduct confirmation soil sampling, compare confirmation data to the Cleanup Goals (CGs), and (if necessary) excavate additional volume until the CGs are met. Load and transport approx. 281 cy of impacted soil to an appropriate disposal facility; and Prior to the initiation of excavation, permits required for grading and excavation will be obtained. Backfill of the Site to the original grade will be performed. After completion of excavation and upon satisfactory confirmation sampling, clean import fill from an off-site source will be used to backfill the Site. Backfill soil screening will occur consistent with DTSC guidance document titled Import Advisory, Clean Imported Fill Material (DTSC, 2001) to ensure imported fill is free of contamination. Representative samples of backfill will be collected and analyzed in accordance with DTSC's 2001 guidance document prior to use.
