Document Description
The project consists of the replacement of three (3) fire hydrants, fifteen (15) commercial backflow preventers, twelve (12) water valves, and thirty-nine (39) service laterals and ball corporation stops. Furthermore remote read water meters will be installed on the new service laterals for the water distribution system. Replacing the existing, antiquated service laterals will decrease unaccounted for water losses and improve system maintenance. Water meters will be installed on approximately thirty-nine service connections (23 residential, 15 commercial, and 1 school) within the Westley Community Services District (WCSD) service area boundary.

Install water meters on existing service laterals within the existing water distribution system is a minor alteration of existing public facilities and no impacts to the environment are anticipated.
