Document Description
DFD staff will repair erosion to the embankment on the secondary side of the South Bay Aquaduct at Mile Post 3.70, between the upper road at Dyer Reservoir, to the v-ditch parallel to the lower access road. Staff will use a loader and/or excavator to pack the erosion occurring on the upper road, as well as the area along the embarkment. A culvert apron and a 24" x 30" culvert in the v-ditch will be installed, parallel with the ditch itself to allow the water to run through this area and not erode the embankment. Rip rap will be installed along the discharge port of the culvert to dissipate the flow of water as it leaves the culvert allowing flow to continue downstream. Crews will use brooms and shovels to clean the lower v-ditch. All work will occur within the DWR ROW.
