Document Description
The project is limited to reinforcing a gap between an existing cement retaining wall and the bank of Arroyo Ojo de Agua to prevent further erosion and collapsing of the wall. Further erosion of the bank could lead to a sanitary sewer overflow during a large storm event as there is a sewer manhole located only a few feet away from teh creek and wall. Project activities include backfilling the 1.5-foot gap between the wall and the bank with rocks collected from the creek. The rock will be placed by hand using non-motorized tools and equipment. A narrow trench will be dug at the base of the creek between the retaining wall and bank and larger rocks will be placed in the trench with smaller rocks placed above the larger rocks and within the rest of gap space.
