Document Description
This project will pilot test an Isothermal Compressed Air Energy Storage system (I-CASE) in a microgrid facility at the University of California Irvine, and utilized waste heat to increase power output and the round trip efficiency of the I-CASE to over 80%. The project will provide performance and operational information for evaluating I-CASE' load following and ancillary services capabilities as well as lowering its cost.
