Document Description
The project consists of the rehabilitation/reconstruction of several existing roadway.
The work to be performed shall consist of replacing deteriorated pavement due to weathering, aging and minor loading distresses as a result of compromised surface condition. Specifically, the scope of the work consists of placing 2.5" (0.20') inches of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete (HMA) as an overlay over existing asphalt pavement to remain in place. Grinding of (or cold-planing) will occur along gutter pans to maintain existing lip of gutter elevations to match the new HMA. Some removal of pavement including base rock or native soil will occur to accommodate re-ggrading and repairof base failures with minor amounts of engineered fill as needed in areas where the existing cross slope or loss of crown profile conditions are not in compliance with current City standards.
