Document Description
This project will replace the falling chain link fence along Highway 75 that protects the Silver Strand Dune Natural Preserve from predatory wildlife and Silver Strand State Beach campground visitors from entering the Caltrans right-of-way.
All work adjacent to the Dune Preserve shall occur between October 1st and March 1st to avoid the breeding season of the Western Snowy Plover (WSP). Work adjacent to the campground and day use lots may occur during the WSP. A biological monitor shall be present at the preconstruction meeting and during all work with potential to disturb sensitive natural resources.
