Union Pacific Railroad plans to replace four existing bridges, one at Yerba Buena Creek (Mile Post 232.27) and four along an unnamed tributary to Santa Margarita Creek near the city of Santa Margarita within San Luis Obispo County with culvert installations. The replacements are proposed due to the age and condition of the existing structures. The bridge replacements are needed to update railroad infrastructure and to ensure the long-term integrity of the railroad.
