Document Description
The purpose of the project is to correct pavement distress (e.g., rutting, bleeding, and alligator cracking). The scope of work will include cold planning 0.20 feet of the existing asphalt concrete pavement and replacing it with 0.20 feet of hot mix asphalt (Type B). On top of the 0.20 feet hot mix asphalt (Type B), a 0.10 foot rubberized hot mix asphalt (Type G) will also be added. The existing asphalt concrete dikes will be upgraded to current standards as needed. Traffic striping and loop detectors will be replaced within the project limits. Shoulder backing will be constructed to eliminate drop-off at pavement edges.
