Document Description
Project includes decommissioning of the Woodward Island ferry and the construction fo a new 675 foot long seven span bridge with removable center section.
Project is expected to cause the permanent loss of 0.57 acres of giant garter snake (Thamnophis gigas) habitat and 0.22 acres of Delta smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus), longfin smelt (Spirinchus thaleichthys) and Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha habitat. The Project is also expected to result in the temporary loss of 0.13 acres of giant garter snake habitat and 0.09 acres of Delta smelt/longfin smelt, and Chinook salmon, which are designated as threatened species, respectively, under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
