Document Description
THe purpose of the project is to create and enhance approx. 20 acres of seasonal wetland and upland habitat distributed across two parcels that were formerly used for agriculture. The project will enhance habitat conditions favorable to wetland and riparian dependent species and will restore adjacent upland habitats. The project is limited to development of four "depression complexes" within the watercourse of Watsonville Slough that would each be graded to contain multiple small depressions of variable size, shape and depth. The CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2015-0083-R3 pursuant to section of 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Bryan Largay, Land Trust of Santa Cruz County.
