Document Description
The Arden Way Well Project (Project) consists fo three phases to construct a potable water supply well within the Arden Park neighborhood of Sacramento County. The Project is located in the residential area of Arden Park, within the Arden Arcade community. The proposed well will connect into the Sacramento County Water Agency's Zone 41 distribution system and supply water to the Arden Park Community. This well will replace existing wells in the community that are aging and reaching the end of their useful life. Phase I will consist of downhole construction, bore hole drilling, cashing installation, and placing the gravel pack and cement seal. Test pumping, water quality testing and disinfection will also occur during phase I. Phase II will consist of equipping the well with a vertical line-shaft turbine pump with an above ground electric motor, piping, instrumentation, electrical controls and potentially a surge tank. Site improvements will include paving, site drainage, and lighting. The site will be equipped with a security light that directs light downward, to be used for maintenance or repair work onsite. Phase III consists of future improvements including the construction of two large water tanks, a booster pump station, and a CMU block building. The final design of the future facilities will occur following a public outreach effort.
