Document Description
The proposed project would construct a modern lighting system on the baseball and softball diamonds at Warren High School to promote organized athletics and ensure campus security at nighttime events. Permanent components of the project would include:
Twelve self-supporting steel monopole structures up to 80 feet tall. Each would be supported by a precast concrete pile buried into the earth. On each pole would be mounted lighting fixtures containing an array of metal halide lamps. Depending on pole location, the number of lighting fixtures ranges from one to seven per pole. Light would be mounted at varying heights on the pole ranging from 50 to 80 feet.
Two electrical cabinets to be mounted on two 2x6x1 foot deep concrete pads. Each cabinet would contain an electrical distribution panel, monitoring, and control equipment. The cabinet would be designed to distribute steady power, ensure proper electrical grounding, afford appropriate security, and provide protection from the elements for the electrical equipment.
