Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption

15303
Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt as "New Construction or conversion of Existing Small Structures" (14 CCR 15303), which allows for installation of new, small facilities including utilities to serve the new facility. The new CNG station will provide a fueling location for vehicles in the City of Sacramento fleet that use compressed natural gas as a fuel. The fueling system is located in the City's North Area Corporation Yard (NACU) and would not result in noise or light impacts on any sensitive receptors. The location will be convenient for fleet vehicles and decrease the miles now traveled to reach alternative fueling locations. The project site is paved and does not provide habitat for any sensitive species.
