Document Description
The project is within the community of Bear Valley in Alpine County on California Highway 4. Elevation vary from 7,300 to 7,600 feet above sea level. The area is in the upper montane forest type with Jeffrey pine, lodgepole pine, red fir, white fir, quaking aspen and lesser number of mountain juniper, western white pine and planted giant sequoia. Brush species include huckleberry oak, brush chinquapin, pinemat manzanita, current and willows. Herbaceous species are numerous with mule's ear common.
