Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1652, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has approved the Kapusta 1a Side Channel Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project submitted by Western Shasta Resource Conservation District. The species likely to benefit this project include, but are not limited, to winter-run Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha); Central Valley spring-run Chinook salmon; fall-run Chinook salmon late fall-run Chinook salmon, and Central Valley steelhead (O. mykiss).
