Document Description
The project is limited to the repair of an existing culvert under Tamalpais Road. The culvert is approximately 3 feet high by 4 feet wide and 160 feet long. The culvert walls and floor have degraded, resulting in holes measuring up to 6 feet which allow water to scour the adjacent earth. A temporary sand bag coffer dam and bypass culvert will be installed upstream and downstream from the repair area to dewater the culvert. After the culvert is dewatered, the degraded walls and floor of the culvert will be repaired with approximately 4 cubic yards of concrete. The flow diversion will remain in place until the concrete has sufficiently cured. All work will be done by hand and the concrete will be delivered pre-mixed to the site. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2015-0367-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section1602.
