Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0291-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, The Conservation Fund. Project is limited to placing approx. 50 pieces of wood at up to 25 sites along 1.3 miles of East Branch Little North Fork Big River (EBLNF), which will increase the frequency and depth of pools. This large wood will provide velocity refugia during peak flows, decrease average water velocities, increase retention of summer flows and collect/sort spawning sized gravels. The introduction of LWD will also increase shelter values for juvenile salmonids.
