Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MEN-15986-R1C, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Howard Dashiell, representing Mendocino County Department of Transportation (MDOT). MDOT proposes to replace the Ackerman Creek Bridge with a new single-span bridge which will accommodate two 11-foot lanes, a 12-foot-wide center turning lane, 6-foot shoulders and 8-foot pedestrian walkways on either side. The scope of the work includes replacing the bridge, removing historic check dam and fish ladder from stream bed, and constructing a new roughened channel stream bed design. The scope of work includes replacing the bridge, and bridge approaches, placement of retaining walls, replacement of railings, utility relocation, and repaving the roadway. The Project would require three temporary stream channel crossings that cross the work area, as well as construction trestles, and a temporary gravel pad.
