Document Description
The project will replace an existing check structure on the Natomas Central Mutual Water Company's canal system. The footprint of the new structure will be approximately the same as the old. No net change in the quantity of materials placed in the canal will occur with the exception of the addition of 24 cubic yards of rip-rap that will be used to armor the upstream banks of the canal. The rip-rap will perform a secondary function of providing habitat for the giant garner snake: a sensitive species which may be present in the vicinity of the site. The project will permanently impact 0.022 acre(s) of waters of the United.
