The proposed project entails improvements to the Mt. Shasta Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sacramento River outfall. These improvements are necessary to comply with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board requirements for wastewater discharge. The proposed improvements would be located within the footprint of the existing facilities and would include a replacement treatment plant and a new diffuser at the river outfall.
