The project would replace an existing gaseous chlorine based water disinfection system with a new liquid hypochlorite based disinfection system. Operations would be ongoing, to support existing municipal water supply services. The proposed system would require limited on-ground improvements. All proposed updates and project activities would be located within the footprint of the existing George Kristoff Water Treatment Plan, which is owned and operated by the City of West Sacramento.
