Document Description
The Project involves the improvements to the existing, approximately 87-foot-long culvert system located north of SR 190, on Westwood Street. The two, existing 4-foot by 6-foot elliptical concrete culvert pipes will be extended to the east and the west of the crossing, and the existing headwall and weir end treatments will be removed and replaced to accommodate the new culvert dimensions. The Project will result in approximately 4,250 square feet of permanent impacts in association with the culvert pipe extensions, the new end treatments, and the concrete channel lining. The Project will also result in a total of 0.3 acres square feet of temporary impacts, resulting from foot traffic, the use of heavy equipment, and vegetation removal.

The Project will occur at a culvert along Westwood Street approximately 0.64 miles south of the City of Porterville, in Tulare County. Project-related activities will occur near latitude 36.051920, longitude, -119.070919 on the border of Section 33, Township 21 South, Range 27 East; and Section 32, Township 21 South, Range 27 East Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian. The Project Area can be located on the Porterville, California 7.5-minute quadrangle United States Geological Survey (USGS) topographic map
