Document Description
The project area consists of 130 acres of brush and tree covered timberland between 2600' and 3000' elevation. The aspect faces south and slopes average 15%. The project area drains into New York Creek, tributary to the Yuba River above New Bullards Bar Reservoir. The timber stand is primarily mixed conifer with brush and small trees in the understory. Forest management has occurred on site for over 50 years. The project is an understory treatment limited to mastication of brush and small trees with follow-up hand work using chainsaws and hand tools if required. Trees greater than 10 inches DBH will not be removed.
