Document Description
SMUD maintains various weirs in the area to monitor and measure stage and discharge of streamblow releases from its Upper American River Project, FERC No. 2101. The proposed Project involves installaton of a new weir associated with U.S. Geological Survey Stream Gage Station No. 1141900. The new FERC license requires that SMUD increase the flow releases at all dams. The increased minimum flows from Camino Dam will render the existing system ineffective as a compliance gaging site. SMUD is planning to replace the existing system with a new concrete weir and new electronic, telemetered gaging equipment at approximately the same location.
