Document Description
The proposed project involves upgrading the fender system along the northern face of the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal for berths 10-1 and 10-2. Ten fender clusters were previously upgraded in 2013 because the former fender system was not compatible with type of vessels called at TAMT. The proposed project involves upgrading 15 fender clusters along berths 10-1 and 10-2 with a new fender system that is similar to the design that was used in 2013. More specifically, the project would mount a cone shaped elastomeric fender unit to the berth wall. A steel panel would then be attached to the cone shaped elastomeric fender and over a cluster of three existing plastic piles, so that no additional piling will be necessary.
