Document Description
Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) is proposing to construct the Long Ravine Pipeline Replacement Project. The purpose of the proposed project is to increase the operational efficiency and reduce the maintenance challenges associated with the Long Ravine Pipeline. The pipeline was installed in the early 1900s and because of the pipeline's age and condition, and the undesirable operating characteristics of the pipeline, it has been determined it needs to be replaced. The proposed project involve installing a new 30-inch, 4,900 ft. long conveyance pipeline. In addition to installing the new pipeline, the project includes replacing the existing intake structure on the Boardman Canal, construction of a new flow control facility, installation of a new 24-inch pipeline between the new flow control facility and Colfax Header Box, improvements to the Boardman Canal spillway, construction of two new access roads, and demolition activities.
