Document Description
Project will stabilize and restore Matadero Creek into a more sustainable and healthy riparian ecosystem and repair erosion and undercutting of the creek channel caused by 2009-1010 winter storms. The project includes removal of a portion of the outfall apron below the Page Mill Road box culvert; removal of 6 willow and 7 walnut trees; grading of approx. 330 feet of new channel; creation of a longer rock rip-rap chute and reinforced drop-pool habitat feature to dissipate the creek's energy; downstream reinforcement of the creek bank; and use of bio-technical stabilization methods to stabilize and shade the creek with willows, walnut and native grasses to restore the channel.
