The Urban Greening Plan seeks to improve quality of life for community members by identifying strategies to enhance El Cerrito's public places and open spaces in order to create a greener, more environmentally sustainable and livable city. The Plan seeks to advance environmental sustainability and stewardship, community identity, active living/transportation, economic vitality, and urban livability. The planning horizon for the Urban Greening Plan is 2040.
