Document Description
The applicant seeks approval of a land use permit to allow the establishment of a 14.8-acre sustainable farm on the western half of the subject 33-acre vacant property. The proposed farm will include the construction of a limited amount of new structures which include a: 1,500 sf barn, 6,048 sf green house, and temporary office located within a re-purposed cargo container. Additional activities to be conducted at the site include, holding of educational classes/community demonstrations, retail sales of farm logo products and consignment of other farm related items for a fee and facility rentals for special events. The hours of the farming operation will generally be from sun up to sun down except on those days where special events may continue on into the non-daylight hours (not to exceed 30 special events a year).
