Document Description
The proposed project consists of the adoption of the City of Taft's 2015-2023 Housing Element, which constitutes an update to the 2008-2013 Housing Element. The purposed of the Housing Element update is to document the projected housing needs within the community and to set forth policies and administrative programs that promote the development of diverse housing types and ensures affordability of housing citywide. The adoption of the 2015-2023 Housing Element does not require or include any specific changes to the General Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Municipal Code, or the environment. The City has identified 39 adequate sites to accommodate the City's housing needs. The programs of the Housing Element are intended to ensure the continued availability of housing to meet the diverse needs of Taft's residents.
