The proposed project is currently designated Commercial in the Santa Monica Mountains North Area Plan and zoned Commercial - Planned Development. In the CPD Zone, adult assisted living facilities are a permitted use with a conditional use permit. The project also includes a request for an Oak Tree Permit for the encroachment into the protected zone of 4 oak trees during construction of the facility.
