Document Description
This proposed project involves replacement of approx. 88 miles of fiber optic cable and removal of out-of-service coaxial cable. Replacement activities consist, in some instances, of pulling the replacement cable into already existing conduit systems. In other sections of the route, new conduit will be installed, in to which the replacement cable will be placed. Finally, in the portion of the route where the existing out-of-service coaxial will be trenched out, the replacement conduit will be installed back into the same trench before closure. Underground cable "pull boxes" (vaults), marker poles, and buried marker ribbon will be installed. Project activities include cable plowing, trenching, directional boring, road reconstruction, and other activities.
