Document Description
The proposed Project would provide the Panoche Drainage District with access to treated agricultural subsurface drainage by means of a proprietary concentrated solar still (CSS) process, designed, constructed and operated by WaterFX. This process will produce fresh water from sources of treatable or salt-impaired water using solar energy. Upon completion, the first phase of the Project will have the capability to produce approximately 2 million gallons of fresh water, per day (approximately 2,200 acre-feet annually). The second phase of the Project will involve expanding the plant to up to 100-acres, with the ability to treat up to 4.8 million gallons of agricultural drainage water daily, producing approximately 4.5 million gallons of fresh water per day (up to 5,000 acre-feet annually).
