Document Description
The project includes EDD's option to acquire an existing building (about 28,000 sq. ft.) and land (about 1.55 acres) at 5401 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles. The property is located in an urban setting of Los Angeles surrounded b developed properties with mixed residential and retail commercial land uses. EDD has served the community from this location since 1996. The proposed action will transfer land ownership to EDD. While the property appears in adequate condition, preliminary assessment indicates that there is a potential for facility refurbishment subsequent to State acquisition of the property. Although activities related to facility refurbishment are considered minor, they may include maintenance, code compliance, and energy reduction initiatives, but they will be based on availability of State's funding to implement.
