Document Description
FIELD will use grant funds to restore 142 acres of sensitive habitat affected by illegal OHV use. The actual restoration trail work covers 3.5 miles. The restoration activity involves the following criteria and techniques: restoration or designated closed routes, stabilization of natural land contour; placement of carsonite utility markers, vertical mulching, wattle placement on sloped contours; and photo documentation. Fieldcrews would only use hand tools to perform vertical mulching and to stabilize the natural land contour and hand augers to install preventative fencing. Actual ground disturbance would be minimal.
