Document Description
The Parker Meadows area has been identified for the tranlocation of up to 25 greater sage-grouse beginning in March 2016. Removing the fence, which is no longer needed for livestock control, will eliminate the risk of wire strike collisions by newly translocated grouse unfamiliar with the surroundings. The project may include clearing of some woody vegetation along fence lines in order to pull the wire free for remolval. Additionally, some fence posts, that may serve as raptor/raven perches could be removed if they pose a risk to grouse.
