Document Description
DWR Water Operations staff will be releasing water from Turnout's AV-1 (MM 0.90) and AV-2 (MM 1.32) into Arroyo Valle Creek, to allow contractors to replace a turnout valve at MM 0.34 along the Del Valle Branch of the South Bay Aqueduct. Approx. 10,618,000 gallons of raw water, at a rate of 2-3 cfs will be released from Turnout AV-1 and AV-2 into te Arroyo Valle stream bed for ground water recharge. This will allow the head pressure to be released off of the pipeline allowing the contractor to remove the pipeline manhole access lid. The water release will occur over a period of 24 hours. Zone 7 Water Agency has been informed of the influx in water supply. The entire project is within DWR right-of-way.
