The proposed project would expand the existing University Substation and install a third transformer at the site; provide a secondary feeder from the Central Plant's cogeneration facility to the University Substation to provide redundancy; and construct a new centrally-located South Substation on the outer campus utility loop that would balance the distribution of campus loads and provide the flexibility to direct power efficiently from various locations within the system.
