Document Description
DWR staff will remove all vegetation around each of the 13 DWR/PG&E power to the DWR pump/valve structures located on Sherman Island. These structures function as the power source and pumps for the fifteen siphons located around Sherman Island. Site 1 - 12 will be mowed within a fifteen foot buffer around each power pole. Site 13 will be cleared around the valve structure in a 55 by 25 foot area. Vegetation will aslo be removed from the roadway to the water's edge, as needed; to allow access for divers to enter water for sipon inspection. The size of the area of vegetation removal will be approximately 1.05 acres. The mowed material will be left onsite to decompose.
