Document Description
The installation of bike lanes on West Elm Avenue and Kost Road will eliminate an existing gap, and the installation of a bike lane on New Hope Road will extend existing bike lanes. The bike lanes will provide additional connectivity and complete the corridor. There is no required right of way acquisition needed for this project. The facilities created through this project are bicycle lanes throughout the City. Staging areas for the slurry process may be needed; however, the exact location is unknown at this time. There will be no disposal or borrow sites needed for this project. Throughout the project, efforts will be made to keep at least one lane in each direction open on the affected roadways. However, the project will be staged and not affect all roadways in the City at the same time. Traffic will need to be diverted during the placement and curing of the slurry seal.
