Document Description
The Project would consist of the construction of a 43,245 gsf building containing a central kitchen wing, an administration / education center wing and an instructional farm. The central kitchen wing would prepare student meals for all OUSD students. The education center would contain two culinary classrooms offering daytime and evening classes. The instructional farm would be 1.5 acres and designed to showcase a variety of hand-scale agricultural techniques, growing methods and crops. The instructional farm would include an outdoor gathering area, outdoor classrooms, orchard, raised beds, children's garden, farm stand and community garden. Tours of the farm would be offered to OUSD students.
