Document Description
The proposed project would remove non-native plants and trees (including 119 Heritage trees) prior to the enhancement of approximately 5.85 acres of native habitat. To facilitate the habitat enhancement, basin slopes would be graded and re-contoured, resulting in the expansion of the capacity of the basin by approximately 4.4 acre-feet. Enhancement of native habitat would result in a net increase of 0.13 acres of freshwater marsh habitat and 3.76 acres of riparian habitat. The project also includes pedestrian and bicycle circulation improvements, including improvements to existing paths, construction of new paths, and installation of two 10-foot wide pedestrian-only bridges.
