Adoption of Statewide Regulations Allowing the Use of Plenum Air Returns in Certain Areas of OSHPD 3 Facilities

OSHPD is proposing a change to Chapter 4, Ventilation Air Supply, and Chapter 6, Duct Systems, of the 2016 California Mechanical Code, CCR Title 24 Part 4 to allow plenum return air in certain areas of OSHPD 3 clinics where fully ducted air return is now required by current code. The proposed regulatory change would only apply to OSHPD 3 clinics providing outpatient services.
