Document Description
The project is limited to the development of an approximately 10-mile natural trail within a 124-acre area. The trail will be unpaved with compacted earth or decomposed granite at a uniform grade and free of obstructions. The trail will generally range from 3- to 4-feet in width with 2- to 3-feet clearance of woody
vegetation on either side. The trail alignment will generally follow the existing railroad alignment and informal trail, utilizing existing crossings and free span bridges. However, trail development will require constructing 28 new trail crossings (16 culverts and 12 armored rock crossings) over creeks throughout the 10-mile alignment. The project includes crossings at various unnamed tributaries of Alder Creek (5), Carson Creek (7), Deer Creek (3), and Latrobe Creek (13).
