The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) is a Responsible Agency for this project. The SWRCB Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program is providing funds for the project. The Sierra East Home Owner Association (SEHOA) proposes to improve water quality for beneficial use by upgrading the existing water system. Project activities include construction of a new absorption system for the removal of arsenic. Specifically, the undertaking will include construction of a new mechanical building measuring 24 by 30 feet; abandonment, relocation, and re-drilling of the existing Cold Well; rehabilitation of the existing Hot Well; and installing a Hot Well cooling loop. The area of potential effect (APE) consists of two separate parcels that contain the existing Cold Well and Hot Well, is located on land owned by SEHOA, and encompasses 0.198 acres.
