Document Description
The Shasta Community Services District (District) Tanks & Pump Stations Replacement Project (Project) replaces eight water storage tanks and 4 pump stations that set the hydraulic grade lines for four pressure zones. The eight existing tanks have met the end of their useful service lives and it is considered more economical to replace the tanks than attempt to repair and re-coat the tanks. The eight tanks will be replaced by four new welded steel tanks that meet current American Water Works Association design requirements. One pump station located within close proximity to two of the tanks that need to be replaced due in part to its location and it too has met its useful service life. The remaining 3 pump stations also have met their useful service lives. The project beneficiaries will be existing customers of the District.
